Navitel Navigator for Android Installation Manual


Installation using Android Market (Recommended method)


  1. The Internet connection is required for this installation (GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi or any other). The installation file size is more than 10Mb so it’s recommended to use Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Start the “Market” application from the device menu.

  3. Push the “Search” button and enter “Navitel” in the appeared window. Select “Navitel Navigator” from the found software.

  4. The window with info about program will appear. Learn it and select “Install”.

  5. The system will show which functions are used by Navitel Navigator. Press “OK” to continue.

  6. The download and installation begin. You can control on them in the “Downloads” menu in “Market”.

  7. Run the Navitel Navigator on your device.
  8. Select “Online Registration” in the registration window.

  9. Press on the blank field to open the digital keyboard and enter your software license key. Press “Ok” button to confirm. If you want to try the software only, skip this and the following step.
  10. OPTIONALLY: After the registration, authorize at Navitel’s site and add your device.
  11. Download the latest maps and copy them to the /NavitelContent/Maps folder in your device’s SD (microSD) flash card.
  12. Start the Navitel Navigator software.
  13. Select the folder with maps and wait until the software indexes them.


Installation using Downloaded Android Installation Package


  1. Download the installation *.apk file for Android from the Software Download page.
  2. Additionally you need Third Party Software (free) to install APK Installation packages on your Android system.
  3. Start the “Market” application from the device menu.
  4. Push the “Search” button and enter “apkInstaller” in the appeared window. Select “apkInstaller” from the found software and install it.
  5. Press “Settings” —> “Applications” and check the “Unknown sources” item. This will allow to install the Navitel Navigator software on the device.
  6. Press “Settings” — “Location” and check the “GPS satellites” item. This will allow the usage of GPS satellites for possitioning apart from GSM base stations.
  7. Connect your device to PC using USB-cable and copy the downloaded APK-package (e.g. “Navitel-5.0.0.778.apk”) to your SD-card.
  8. Start “apkInstaller”, goto your SD-card and select the previously copied APK-package and start installation.
  9. Run the Navitel Navigator on your device.
  10. Select “Online Registration” in the registration window.
  11. Press on the blank field to open the digital keyboard and enter your software license key. Press “Ok” button to confirm. If you want to try the software only, skip this and the following step.

Installation using Downloaded Windows Installation Package


  1. Download the installation *.exe file for Android from the Software Download page.
  2. Press “Settings” —> “Applications” and check the “Unknown sources” item. This will allow to install the Navitel Navigator software on the device;
  3. Press “Settings” —> “Location” and check the “GPS satellites” item. This will allow the usage of GPS satellites for possitioning apart from GSM base stations.
  4. Connect your device to PC using USB-cable.
  5. Start the downloaded Windows Installation package (e.g. “Navitel-5.0.0.778.exe”) and follow instructions on the screen. This will copy the installation components to your Android device. After finishing, the installation on your Android system starts immediately. Select “Open” – lunch the application, or “Finish” – close the window.
  6. Run the Navitel Navigator on your device.
  7. Select “Online Registration” in the registration window.
  8. Press on the blank field to open the digital keyboard and enter your software license key. Press “Ok” button to confirm. If you want to try the software only, skip this and the following step.
  9. OPTIONALLY: After the registration, authorize at Navitel’s site and add your device.
