Map Software

Our maps for Smartphones/PDAs are published for the well known software Navitel Navigator. Navitel Navigator is truly multi-platform turn-by-turn navigation, running on Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhone, iPad and Bada platforms.

Navitel Navigator can be tested for free for an unlimited period of time (iPhone and Android: 30 days trial). The trial version is fully functional, except that it only accepts maps not greater than 100 kb. We offer maps for testing here which run with the trial version of Navitel Navigator (see below).


Android®


There are several methods to install Navitel Navigator® under Android operating systems. The easiest way is to install it through the Android Market. Please refer to our installation manual how to install the software onto your device.

Navitel Navigator® is available for iPhones® and iPads/reg;. It can be installed only through the iTunes Store. Please note! To install Third Party maps (like our maps) you have to use at least iOS Version 4! Please refer to our installation manual how to install the software and our maps onto your device.

Windows Mobile®


The Windows Version is available in two versions: one for installing the software directly from your Windows Mobile device (CAB) and one for installing the software with ActiveSync (recommended). Please refer to the user manual how to install the software onto your device.

Symbian®


Navitel Navigator® can be installed on most Smartphones running the Symbian operating system, too. You have to download the installation package and transfer it to your device before you can start installatio. Please refer to our installation manual how to install the software onto your device.

NepalGPSMap FREE Maps

Some of our maps are available in a FREE-Version which can be downloaded from here. These versions are completely free of charge, but include only basic information and they are not routable. There are no POIs (Points-Of-Interests) except emergency facilities (like satelite telephones, hospitals, doctors etc.), no topographic contour lines and no streets/trails except main streets. The data of the FREE maps is slightly older than the data of the maps commercially available.


We offer each map in two different fileformats:

  • EXE-File: This is a self-extracting executable installation-file (Windows). Connect your device to your PC as “USB storage device” or put the memory card of your device into your computer’s cardreader, start the file and choose the right destination folder on your device/memory card. Please use the Navitel Navigator standard folder for maps (/NavitelContent/maps), of course you can create a subfolder if you like.
  • ZIP-File: This file can be downloaded, has top be unzipped manually with your favourite ZIP-software (e.g. 7-Zip) and has to be copied onto your device. Please use the Navitel Navigator standard folder for maps (/NavitelContent/maps), of course you can create a subfolder if you like. Note for iOS-Users: You have to use this fileformat and synchronize the extracted files through iTunes with your iPhone/iPad.


TESTMAP – Runs with trial version of Navitel Navigator

Install the map and search for the POI “Kathmandu” to find the small map excerpt. You maybe have to zoom in after finding the POI “Kathmandu” to see map details.
