NepalGPSMap is a small company which creates digital maps for Nepal since 2007. Our maps of Nepal are digital topographical and street maps for Garmin®-GPS-Receiver and shortly for most Smartphones/PDAs (Android®, iOS®, Windows Mobile®, Symbian®) as well. They could be used directly with your GPS-Receiver and can of course also be viewed on your Desktop-PC with one of your favourite GPS-Software like Mapsource®.

Map coverage NepalTOPO NPL

NepalTOPO NPL Routable is the map with the highest level of detail published by NepalGPSMap, capable for trekking in remote areas as well as for navigating by car through the country. Besides topographical details the map includes a detailed street layer. Because the map is fully routable, it can be used for turn-by-turn vehicle navigation.

The map has a basis accuracy of 1:250.000. Selected areas are available in a higher level of detail (see map coverage on the left). These areas are available at a very high resolution up to 1:15.000!

   

The basis of our digital maps are available maps in paper form, satellite photographs and self-recorded tracks and waypoints from many people all over the world. Especially because of the many self-recorded tracks and waypoints the high resolution areas offer a very high accuracy.

Currently, our maps are available for Garmin®-GPS-Receivers, which can display maps in Garmin® vector format. This includes all “On the Road”-Receivers as well as all “On the Trail”-Mapping-Handhelds. It could be used directly with GPS-Receivers and can also be viewed on a computer with one of your favourite GPS-Software like Mapsource® or Basecamp® (available free of charge). The software for transfering the map to Garmin®-GPS- Receivers is included, so there is no need to have additional software for using the map on your receiver (Windows® only).

Coming soon! We plan to publish our maps for many Smartphones/PDAs, which can run the well-known Navitel®-Software. This includes Smartphones/PDAs with Android®-, iOS®-, Symbian®- and Windows Mobile®-OS!
